| The Ten-Percent Legal Recruitment (www.ten-percent.co.uk) Charitable DonationsWe donate 10% of our net profits each year*, and we work on the tithe principle from mediaeval times, although there are no links between the company or the charity to any religion. Our commitment to annual charitable donations is set down in our Articles of Association, so far we have raised over £30,000 (to 2007). It is our business aim to ensure a healthy growth for the company, and at the same time spend 10% of our income supporting charitable causes both here and overseas, primarily in Africa. Legal recruitment does not have to be a stale, corporate activity! Our directors enjoy the process of giving away our profits each year, and it is always nice to get responses from the charities we donate to. Since 2002 we have donated to charity via the Ten-Percent Foundation, a charitable trust set up specifically to distribute the donation we give each year to charities. We aim to find charities that have specific projects we can follow up on, and look at smaller charities rather than large ones. We are also keen to support any small charities started by solicitors or related to the legal profession.

This is a charitable trust, registered with the Charities Commission, and operated by two independent trustees and a director of Ten-Percent.co.uk Limited. The trust distributes the funds raised by the company according to a set of principles. So far the Trust has donated to Send a Cow, Wateraid, British Stroke Association, The Parkinson's Disease Society, Clwyd Riding for the Disabled, National Childbirth Trust, a Liverpool inner city project, Cecilys Fund (funding orphans to go to school in Zambia) and provided funding for a Youth Worker in an inner city area of Stoke on Trent. We try and continue to support projects once we have started to donate money.
