What does 'CV preparation service' mean?

The CV Preparation service offers you the chance to have your CV prepared by an impartial professional recruitment consultant and solicitor with lengthy experience of lawyer and law student recruitment.

You often see advertisements for CV preparation from secretarial agencies, typing pools and other such services. Whilst this is a good way to get your CV written up, it does not give you the edge when applying for positions, as these services are unable to offer you specialist advice on the formation and content of your CV.

We are specialist solicitor recruitment consultants, operated and owned by solicitors. Ten-percent.co.uk is a specialist online legal recruitment consultancy. We see many hundreds of CV's each week, some good, some dreadful. We recruit on behalf of firms in the UK and some further afield, and are also involved in active search and selection.

We can prepare your CV for you to help you stand out from the crowd. We have prepared CV's for a wide range of people, from partners of large city law firms to law students who are completing their A-levels.

You pay for the service online using our secure online facilities (there are also provisions to pay by telephone or by post). We send you an internet link to our CV preparation pages, where you complete an online questionnaire. We prepare a CV for you in draft form, together with relevant careers advice.

How long does it take?

We give a return time once you have made payment, which depends on the complexity of the CV and our workload, although most CVs are returned in first draft within 96 hours.

What does it cost?

£199.99 including VAT. You receive unlimited copies of your CV by email, and can continue to request these from us for as long as you need them by email.

What if I am not satisfied with the CV?

In each and every case we guarantee to refund your monies in full if you are not satisfied with the CV we have provided. Your statutory rights are not affected. Please see our terms and conditions for full details.

How do I send you my details for the CV to be prepared?

Online form submission (a link is supplied once payment received) and via email. We do not offer the service by post or fax.

What if I want to discuss my CV with you prior to preparation, or meet one of your consultants personally?
