Ten-Percent Legal Recruitment was set up in 2000 by Jonathan Fagan and 3 others. Over the years it has expanded rapidly, and has become a large online operation encompassing a wide range of services for law firms, lawyers and others. We have 5 consultants working across the UK.
The company now offers Legal Recruitment - in the UK and offshore, IFA Recruitment, Career Coaching for Lawyers & Executives, Transcription work, Legal Secretarial Recruitment, Architect Recruitment, CV Preparation & Review Services, Careers Training for Law Graduates & Students, Business Consultancy Work for Law Firms, Complete Recruitment Services for Law Firms, Headhunting, Search & Selection, Law Firm Sales & Mergers, IFA Sales & Mergers, SEO and many others.
We have consultants covering the whole of the legal job market, both in the UK and offshore. Our company handles work from large corporate practices down to the high street, and our competitive fees and flexible payment schemes mean that we are able to assist anyone and everyone.
Firstly - have a look around our websites, which are unique - we are not a corporate entity or sausage factory with lots of salesmen and women trying to sell at every opportunity. We are professional recruitment consultants, and act with integrity and impartiality to everyone, whether client or candidate.
Secondly - we donate 10% of all profits every year to charity, and the company is linked to the Ten-Percent Foundation, a charitable trust. We support a range of causes, both in the UK and overseas, and we usually aim for small projects that often are suggested by our clients and candidates.
Thirdly - we offer very flexible working arrangements. Our consultants work in their own time, and get support and guidance when needed. We do not set annual leave entitlements, they have use of a company gym and any training they require is given both internally and externally. Our management style has been said to be 'informal', and the Investors in People accreditation was received in 2008 in recognition of our commitment to our staff development.
Our consultants enjoy the support they get, and we treat everyone equally. The consultants vote on a range of issues and make decisions collectively, although the Managing Director always gets the final say! Ideas are encouraged and, more importantly, acted upon. Full administration support is provided to all our consultants.
We are always on the lookout for new blood. We want people who are hungry (not literally), but importantly have the following:
A different outlook on life.
The ability to write clearly and effectively.
No fear of telephones.
Understanding of the recruitment industry, usually a min. of 12 months as a recruitment consultant in a specialist market with a good billing record. If you haven't got this, give us a ring and persuade us to interview you!
Broadband and computer access at home.
An interest in cricket assists when talking to the Managing Director.
A hunger to achieve a good performance, and get paid on it.
An interest in working from home.
Evidence of proven sales ability.
Commitment to work hard.
Graduate with a 2.2 degree as a bare minimum.
Ideally located within 20 miles of Chester and Mold.
Recruitment Consultants. Particularly interested in anyone with leads and a following, perhaps working for themselves or coming from other recruiters. Please note that we do not encourage recruitment consultants to take confidential information from former employers.
Headhunters - we pay on performance - you source a candidate for us for one of our roles - we pay high commission rates.
New Business Generators - if you spot a specialist area and want to have a go, let us know - we can set the service up, develop a website, create a client bank and get going.
