SHOPPING Chester’s main street is home to a two-tier shopping gallery that dates back to medieval times. TRANSPORT INFORMATION By Road - Chester is well served by the road network and is readily accessible from the M56 or M53 motorways. It is also close to the A55 which allows for easy access to North Wales. The Welsh coastline can be reached within 35 minutes while a journey into Snowdonia will only take around 50 minutes. The two major cities of Liverpool and Manchester are also easily reached from Chester with the journey times taking 20 minutes and 40 minutes respectively.
