A new vacancy has arisen with a large national law firm with offices in central London. One of their conveyancers is looking for assistance with title checks. At the moment he is considering whether someone can work remotely or from their offices (nearest tube statioin is Moorgate). If remotely they would simply email you over the contract papers and request a review & report. They need someone to assist for about 3 months starting immediately or in the next week at the latest. This is ad hoc work and clearly not going to be full time. It may fit in nicely around other assignments.
Last time we worked one of these we found the best way of putting candidates forward is for you to fill out a price list along the lines below:
Price list as follows:
– per title check if freehold
– per title check if leasehold
– per title check if leasehold plus New Build
– per title check if leasehold plus New Build plus Shared Ownership
– uplift for 24 hour turnaround.
May be worth providing a separate hourly rate for work where the firm require you to work at their London office if this becomes a requirement. Naturally this will be on hourly rates if this was the scenario.
