Locum Services for Law Firms
Ten-Percent Locum Services offer support to firms looking for lawyers and legal support staff for short term contracts, whether for holiday cover, extended annual leave, employee departure, retirement from practice, sickness or maternity leave. We also provide locums who are interested in working on a contract to start with and moving into a permanent salaried role if all goes well. Our locum service also operates via InterimLawyers.co.uk, which is part of our company.
Register for Locum work – click this link to send us your CV and provide details of the work you are looking for.
Once you have completed the form we will be in touch. To work as a locum we will need: 1) A copy of your passport or driving licence, 2) a copy of a recent utility bill or similar, and 3) a copy of your current practising certificate if relevant. These can be emailed through to us at email@example.com. If you have any references (in the form of a “to whom it may concern” letter), please email these through as well. We expect to hold two recent references for all our locums.
We do not employ locums; instead each company or firm will contract directly with the locum, usually as a self-employed consultant, although it can be done through the firm’s PAYE system. Normally locums are covered by the firm or company’s professional indemnity insurance, but it is important you check this on commencement of any assignment.
Once you have registered with us, we keep your details on our system and send out automated updates with any new locum assignments coming in.
If you have any questions, please email us: firstname.lastname@example.org. We usually respond within an hour during office hours.
NB: Full information about our locum services can be found on our specialist locum website Interim Lawyers.
