Welcome to the TP Legal Locum Service (also known as Interim Lawyers). We offer locum services to high street law firms, commercial law practices, local authorities and in house legal departments.

We have a database of over 750 locum solicitors, legal executives, legal cashiers, in house counsel, office managers, fee earners, licensed conveyancers, paralegals and non-qualified lawyers who are able to assist with assignments or contracts. Click here to register your assignment.

Locum Services for Law Firms

Ten-Percent Locum Services offer support to firms looking for lawyers and legal support staff for short term contracts, whether for holiday cover, extended annual leave, employee departure, retirement from practice, sickness or maternity leave. We also provide locums who are interested in working on a contract to start with and moving into a permanent salaried role if all goes well. Our locum service also operates via InterimLawyers.co.uk, which is part of our company.

Once you have completed the form we will be in touch. To work as a locum we will need: 1) A copy of your passport or driving licence, 2) a copy of a recent utility bill or similar, and 3) a copy of your current practising certificate if relevant. These can be emailed through to us at cv@ten-percent.co.uk. If you have any references (in the form of a “to whom it may concern” letter), please email these through as well. We expect to hold two recent references for all our locums.

We do not employ locums; instead each company or firm will contract directly with the locum, usually as a self-employed consultant, although it can be done through the firm’s PAYE system. Normally locums are covered by the firm or company’s professional indemnity insurance, but it is important you check this on commencement of any assignment.

Once you have registered with us, we keep your details on our system and send out automated updates with any new locum assignments coming in.
